| "I remember the first first moment I laid my eyes on "little" Boomer. It was July 10th at Newark Intl Airport, and she had just taken her first plane ride. Obviously she must have been frightened all by herself traveling from Ohio to New Jersey, because when I saw her through those little crate she was in, she had the most sad eyes I've ever seen. When we finally got her out of the crate, she immediately bonded with all of us. The day we picked her up, she weighed around 21 lbs....now she is a big and strong and sturdy 80.2 lbs. Boomer has a a personility I've never seen in a dog before. The way she greets us at the door when we get home is nothing short of spectacular. She moans, crys, and licks us until we need a shower!!!!! She definitely has a unique personality. she likes to control the situation and when you ask her to come she often just stares at you....until you begin to show no interest or walk away..then she immediately runs to you. She loves sleeping on her bed in our room at night, and has her favorite toys that she is partial to. The one thing about Bommer...you just know she's around. She doesnt make it a point to move out of the way when you are trying to get by. she suddenly becomes the "immovable object"!!!!! Her love for all of us is immense and fills us all with happiness. she loves to go for long walks, but only if she is in control of her leash with her putting it in her mouth. She is not only a great watch dog, but more importantly a true friend and family member.
